THREE WINTER TRENDS & HOW TO WEAR THEM.

Wearing Bassike top, Dion Lee Line II pants and Alexander Wang boots.

LEATHER LAYERS

As I said last week, leather layers are where it's at this winter. To get it right, mix different coloured leathers or play with texture.

I love the shape of this Bassike leather tank, especially when teamed with Dion Lee Line II leather track pants and my old faithful Alexander Wang boots. I also think it would look incredible with a black leather A-line midi skirt (this one's on the wish list).

Wearing Michael lo Sordo suit and top and Balenciaga heels.

SUIT UP

I've always loved a relaxed suit. Borrow from the boys or go ladylike in a skirt and blazer combo. Go all out with a crisp white button-up shirt or wear a silk cami if you're feeling a more feminine look.

The key to nailing the whole suit thing is getting the hair and make-up right. If you're opting for a man-style suit, wear natural make-up with tousled 'just-rolled-out-of-bed' hair. A great lipstick colour will make things look a bit more 'done up'. Going ladylike? A sleek, low ponytail or bun and some softly contoured make-up will do the trick.

Wearing Skin & Threads knit, Life with Bird top, Kahlo skirt and Zara bag and heels.

Wearing Manning Cartell jacket and skirt and Equipment shirt.

OXBLOOD

I won't go as far as to say that oxblood's the new black, but it's one of the key colours for winter and I'm backing it. Why? It's surprisingly versatile and for some reason it always looks polished.

Wear it head-to-toe by mixing textures (as I've done in the first outfit) or try experimenting with unexpected colour combos like cobalt, tan or pastel pink. There's heaps of oxblood leather around at the moment too, so why not try mixing trends one and three?

Love a good suit. Your make up here is great, perfectly polished yet somehow still looking natural. Love the lip colour.
